The New Public Passenger Transport System

The new system of Public Passenger Transport with Buses was inaugurated on 5 July 2010. A quality upgraded, modern, efficient and economical system, with which OSEA aims to provide the best possible services to all social groups including people with disabilities and reduced mobility, students, soldiers, the elderly, workers, visitors and in general to everyone that commutes with buses in the geographical area that it is ​responsible for!

A few words about OSEA

The Famagusta District Transportation Organization (OSEA) was founded in 2009. It has signed a Contract for the Concession of Public Passenger Transport Service with the contracting Authority, the Department of Road Transport of Cyprus, for the purpose of performing public passenger transport by buses. OSEA operates all bus routes within the non-occupied Famagusta District, including the communities of Xylofagou, Xylotymbou and Ormideia, as well as bus routes from the non-occupied Famagusta District to Larnaca and from Larnaca to the non-occupied Famagusta District. BUS SCHEDULES ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

October 27, 2025

On Public Holidays the bus routes of OSEA operate with the schedules that apply on SATURDAY, SUNDAY & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. For bus routes where the bus times are the same EVERY DAY, there will be no changes to the schedules on Public Holidays.
